Things to do during Christmas in Las Vegas

Christmas is nearly upon us, and there’s no better time to visit Las Vegas. No matter who you are traveling with this holiday season, keep reading as we share some of our favorite holiday celebrations and activities in Las Vegas.

Las Vegas Santa Hat

See a Las Vegas Christmas Show

While there are dozens of great shows in Las Vegas to see, one of our favorite things to do for Christmas in Las Vegas is to see one of the special holiday shows. This Is Christmas is located at the Palazzo at the Venetian and features Santa Claus and Scrooge. They are accompanied by a cast of Broadway singers, and it’s a great option for a festive evening out. The Nutcracker is another good option for a holiday show, and this classic ballet is performed by the Nevada Ballet Theatre at The Smith Center.

Visit the Bellagio Conservatory

The Bellagio is one of our favorite resorts to visit at any time of the year, but the Bellagio Conservatory takes it to the next level. This Christmas, you’ll find a 42-foot tree, polar bears created from carnations, and a train made from roses. Of course, a trip to the Bellagio wouldn’t be complete without seeing the Bellagio Fountains. Instead of their usual soundtrack, you’ll find they are paired with holiday tunes such as Santa Baby at this time of the year.

Skating at Cosmopolitan

Ice Skating at The Cosmopolitan

One of the most popular holiday traditions in Las Vegas is rooftop ice skating at The Cosmopolitan. As well as the 4,200 square feet ice rink, you’ll find a full range of holiday activities and treats up here. You can enjoy watching holiday movies, roasting s’mores, or trying some of their hot adult beverages. You really could spend the whole evening here, and it’s free just to walk around the rink. It’s open every day during the holiday season, with longer operating hours during the weekends. Book online for skating sessions during the peak travel weeks, as you’ll find this is one of the most popular activities with locals and visitors each year.

Tour the Aria Winter Wonderland

Another of our top things to do for Christmas in Las Vegas is visit the Winter Wonderland display at the Aria resort. This incredible display took a whopping 200 hours to build and includes a stunning giant snow globe in the center. Everything you see can be eaten, so you’ll want to head to the Aria Patisserie after to pick up some sweet treats for you and your family. It’s open every day from noon, and it’s a great spot to get some fun family photos for the holiday season.

The Holiday Cactus Garden at Ethel M’s Chocolate Factory

This year celebrates the 28th anniversary of this classic Las Vegas Christmas activity. You’ll have the chance to witness an incredible half a million lights, which are spread over the three acres of cacti on the site. Every night at 5 pm the lights are switched on, so make sure you time your visit right. On top of that, you can also enjoy watching live demonstrations from the team at Ethel M. We recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment, especially near Christmas Day.

Bar and Club Crawl

No trip to Las Vegas at Christmas is complete without taking in some of the best clubs and bars in town. World Crawl is here to help you plan the best night out possible without you having to lift a finger. As you can imagine, this time of year attracts some great DJs and a huge party crowd, so you can be sure you’ll have a night to remember when you book one of our tours. We’ll take care of everything and ensure that you get into the best clubs for that night regardless of how busy it is when you visit. It’s a good way to avoid having to stand in line during the busy holiday season, so you can spend more time enjoying all of the popular Christmas Las Vegas activities we shared above.

Christmas is one of our favorite times of the year to visit Las Vegas, and you’ll find many of the lights and decorations stay up into early January. All of the hotels go all out for the season, so wherever you are staying, you’ll get in the festive mood in no time at all. It’s a great time to party in the city, as there are celebrations and special events that make a Las Vegas Christmas trip one that you’ll remember forever.
